Digital Sales of GTA: Vice City Halted Over Music Dispute

Posted on November 16, 2012 AT 03:13am

Digital sales of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City have been halted over a music licensing dispute, however, if you have already bought the game you will be able to re-download it.

Developer Rockstar confirmed the news via a post on the Steam forums: “Due to some music licensing issues, we’ve had to temporarily remove Vice City PC from digital stores,” a spokesperson said. “We’ll make it available again as soon as possible.”

Rockstar didn’t confirm which track was responsible, but Cinema Blend is reporting that it is Michael Jackson’s “Wanna be Startin’ Something,” which plays on the Fever 105 station. Sony Music Entertainment has reportedly blocked the track on copyright grounds.
