Warcraft feature film director Duncan Jones will talk about the film project during this year’s BlizzCon, according to the event’s official schedule.

Jones will take the stage alongside Blizzard chief creative officer Rob Pardo and senior vice president of story and franchise development Chris Metzen on Saturday, November 9, to “discuss the thrilling collaborative process of translating Azeroth’s game world to the big screen.”

The Warcraft film has been in development since 2006. Legendary Pictures announced Duncan Jones would helm the project in January. The film is based on a screenplay penned by Jones and Charles Leavitt, whose previous writing credits include Blood Diamond and The Express. Filming is scheduled to begin January 13, 2014 with a target release of December 18, 2015.

In addition to the Warcraft film, BlizzCon will also shine a spotlight on the Diablo III expansion, Reaper of Souls, and reveal details pertaining to Blizzard All-Stars, which Blizzard just yesterday announced had been rebranded to Heroes of the Storm.

BlizzCon will take place Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Tickets, unfortunarely, have already sold out.
