Sony stores throughout the US are currently selling the 3G PlayStation Vita for $199.97—down $100 from what it’s usually priced.

The basic 3G bundle includes the Vita, an 8GB memory card, and a voucher for a free PSN game (which requires you to sign up for data coverage to redeem).

According to Joystiq, the majority of Sony Stores in the US are selling the 3G Vita for $200. Several employees informed Joystiq the sale has to due with the model supposedly being discontinued.

Joystiq also compiled a list of all the stores selling the discounted PS Vita, so be sure to check out their post. Now is about the best time in the foreseeable future to purchase a PS Vita if you’ve been kicking around the idea.

Sony has yet to drop the price of the 3G PS Vita online.
