Dishonored Dev Diary Talks About Artwork, Anglo-Saxon Character Designs

There’s a fair amount of work that goes into making sure players don’t “break” Dishonored due to its open-ended gameplay. With all the powers at protagonist Corvo Atano’s disposal, he’s essentially a god.
But there’s equal amounts of talent funneled into the art design, making sure everything looks as impressive as it plays.
As Arkane Studios’ latest developer diary shows, the studio has an extensive design team that’s apparently been gathered from all over Europe in order to stylize the city of Dunwall.
Given everything we’ve seen of the game so far, the artwork is equally as impressive as the concept.
If you were wondering where the concepts for the steampunk-whaling environment came from, listening to the artists explain their craft should give you a clearer understanding of why the game looks and sounds the way it does.
Or, you can watch the video and fidget with glee at how cool it looks to stop time and watch an attack dog freeze in mid-air. Either way, you’re going to learn something and most likely get even more excited for the game.
