Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock Sequels Canceled

Posted on November 7, 2013 AT 09:34pm

The BBC has confirmed that the two planned sequels for PlayStation 3 and Vita title Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock have been canceled.

Supermassive Games developed The Eternity Clock, which was originally announced as a trilogy, however, the BBC has confirmed to Polygon that Supermassive will not be developing any future Doctor Who titles. The Eternity Clock saw The Doctor and River Song racing across the universe to prevent its destruction.

Paul Joffe, vice president of digital entertainment and games at the BBC, told Polygon that the company’s relationship with Supermassive ”was and continues to be good,” but there are no more planned projects with the developer. ”We will not be releasing any further Eternity Clock games, nor did any other go into production,” Joffe said. “We also have no current work with Supermassive. We do have Doctor Who games in the pipeline and we will be announcing these in due course.”

“I can’t comment on further episodes of The Eternity Clock, I’m afraid, other than to say that we have no plans to develop,” added Managing director at Supermassive Games Pete Samuels.
