Don’t Get Fooled, Fake iOS Apps Posing as Halo 4

Two new iOS apps have just hit the App Store with the aim of scamming users. The apps–on the surface–appear to be official ports of Halo 4 for iPhone and iPad, but trust us, they are not.

The two game’s in question are actually a racing game and a chess game, neither of which have anything to do with Halo 4. However, the screenshots, the app logo, and even a little 343 Industries copyright logo are designed to make you believe that they are.

One of the apps is for iPhone and iPad and the other is iPhone only. The worst part is that the original app reviews are still there, leading players to believe that it’s the Halo 4 game that is getting the 5 star reviews and not the original. Luckily a few one star reviews claiming it to be fake have started to appear.

So whatever you do, do not buy either of the Halo 4 apps with the above logo from the App Store.
