Hamlet, the latest DLC for Klei Entertainment’s survival game Don’t Starve has left early access and officially launched on PC.
“A great big thank you to everyone who participated during our Early Access period. The Don’t Starve community is one of the best to interact with, so full of passion and enthusiasm for all things in the Constant,” the developer wrote in a forum post. “We have thoroughly enjoyed the journey with you, dropping Wilson and his friends into this world of civilized pigs and dangerous jungles.”
In the expansion, Wilson discovers a society of Pigmen in a tropical jungle and must adjust to their way of life and attempt to survive the Aporkalypse. Hamlet introduces three new characters, a new biome to explore, new seasons, new ingredients and recipes, and treasure hunting.
Alongside the official release, a new update has been pushed live that adds Wheeler and Ancient Hulk to the DLC, makes new rooms and doors available via the renovation crafting tab, and fixes several bugs. Read the full patch notes here.
Finally, the developer announced that it would be making Wagstaff available to all owners of Don’t Starve, regardless of whether they own the Hamlet DLC, as a thank you.
