Bethesda has announced the official release date of Doom 3 BFG Edition featuring, re-vamped versions of Doom 3 and the Resurrection of Evil add-on pack.

Doom 3 BFG will be available from October 16 in North America and October 19 in Europe, priced at $29.99 on PC and $39.99 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. This re-mastered version includes enhanced visuals, the Resurrection of Evil DLC, “The Lost Mission“–seven new levels of content, 5.1 surround sound, achievement/trophy support, improved rendering and a new checkpoint save system.

Doom and Doom 2 will also be bundled with the BFG Edition. Finally a new armor-mounted flashlight has been added to the game, allowing players to illuminate dark corners while still being ready to take on any enemies that appear.
