Overwatch

The new Overwatch comic, Masquerade, follows Doomfist’s return into the folds of Talon, Overwatch‘s rival organization bent on world control.

Also available in motion book form, the comic picks up right where Doomfist’s animated reveal trailer left off, with the character having just punched his way out of prison to find Reaper waiting for him on the other side of the wall. The two villains escape and the actions of many previous Overwatch animated shorts and comics are referenced as Doomfist catches up on everything he missed. Once Doomfist gets the lay of the land, a plan is put in motion to make a change in Talon leadership, resulting in Doomfist reclaiming the head of the table and declaring war (on Overwatch presumably).

The comic features Doomfist, Sombra, Reaper, and Widowmaker, all known as the Overwatch roster’s major players in Talon. The final fight in the comic has these characters don some truly lavish Masquerade outfits, potentially teasing future skins for each character.

The previous Overwatch comic took us back into Overwatch’s history, detailing the events surrounding the King’s Row Uprising. Some Overwatch comics have been slightly less dire however, such as the one that followed Tracer’s Christmas adventure.

Now that we’ve got Doomfist in comic form, all that is left is for the fighter to show up in the actually game. He is currently playable on the Overwatch‘s public test region, but all other players can look forward to getting their fists on him July 27th.
