NECA/WizKids and Valve have announced plans to release a HeroClix collection based on the upcoming Dota 2 as well as a new game called NextChess that will be based on Team Fortress 2.
NextChess is described as being chess but, in a nod to TF2, with each piece getting a hat that dictates their movement, and players can swap hats between characters and even use the hats from pieces they’ve captured.
As for the HeroClix pieces, they will be released in two 5-figure starter sets, with a 24-piece Gravity Feed collection to come later.
Both the Dota 2 HeroClix and Team Fortress 2 NextChess sets will be out this summer.
