BioWare has released a few details and screenshots of its holiday build for Dragon Age: Inquisition, and things seem to be coming along nicely.
Dragon Age franchise executive producer Mark Darrah took to the BioWare Blog to offer an update on the game. According to Darrah, the holiday build of the game features the main storyline completely playable from start to finish, with all gameplay systems working together.
The blog post also contained some new environmental screenshots of the game, taken from the pre-alpha build. “Areas form a huge part of the content in Dragon Age: Inquisition,” Darrah said. “It is very important to me that the game cover a large variety of locations. Not only does it expand the possibilities of our storytelling, it also gives us an opportunity to show a lot of different things. In a game that places a lot of emphasis on discovery, this is very crucial.”
Yesterday, BioWare Edmonton and Montreal general manager Aaryn Flynn confirmed that the next Mass Effect title is now in a playable state.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to release towards the end of 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
