‘Dragon Aspect’ Ability Coming in Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC

Posted on November 15, 2012 AT 11:16am

Soon, Skyrim fans will be able to travel to the isle of Solstheim off of the coast of Morrorwind, where a new set of adventures await in the upcoming DLC release Dragonborn. When doing so, they’ll also have a new ability at their disposal.

Earlier today we posted up the new batch of screenshots that were released for the game, but another interesting tidbit about Dragonborn has also come out. It sees you’ll gain a new power called “Dragon Aspect”—which allows you to “summon the inner power of a dragon to deliver colossal blows and strengthen other shouts.” There’s no further explanation about Dragon Aspect beyond that, so we’ll have to wait to see exactly how it’s incorporated into the game.

Here are the rest of the details Bethesda posted up today about what fans will be in store for in Dragonborn:

• Explore Beyond Skyrim – Leave the province of Skyrim and travel to the coastal island of Solstheim. Encounter the Dark Elven settlers of Raven Rock and the native Skaal, as you unravel the mystery of a Dragonborn’s return.

• Become the Ultimate Dragonborn – Harness the power of the Voice as you face off against the first Dragonborn. Wield new shouts and spells including Dragon Aspect – allowing you to summon the inner power of a dragon to deliver colossal blows and strengthen other shouts.

• New Powers – Discover dark powers as you journey into a new Daedric realm. Collect books of forbidden knowledge and choose new paths for your skills and abilities.

• New dungeons, creatures, weapons, and more – Suit up in Bonemold and Chitin armors and wield Stalhrim weapons as you navigate through a myriad of dungeons. Battle formidable foes like Ash Spawn, Rieklings, and more.

Dragonborn will hit as the next official expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on December 4th for 1600 MS Points on the Xbox 360. PC and PS3 versions will be coming at a later date.

And yes, I know—to all of you PS3 owners out there, by this point I’m sure you’re pretty fed up with hearing “later date”. Please don’t kill me, I’m just the messenger.
