Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PC on September 4th, 2018.
The upcoming entry in the series features tells the tale of a “hunted hero” and features “entirely new characters, a beautifully detailed world, finely tuned turn-based combat, and an immersive story that will appeal to longtime fans and franchise newcomers alike.”
The publisher also revealed that the Western release of the game will feature some exclusive content, including an English voiceover, overhauled menus and UI, a new dash function, improved character and camera movement, and a new Camera Mode that will let players take pictures in-game. As well as all this, a new hard mode called Draconian Quest will be included that offers additional challenges for experienced players.
The game is available to pre-order now from the PlayStation Store and doing so will unlock “The Legend Reborn” theme and various DLC items.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is also in development for Nintendo Switch, but the 3DS version that was released in Japan will not be localized, according to IGN.
