Square Enix has released a new update for Dragon Quest XI that includes bug fixes, more frame rate options, and more.

The big change for PC owners is the option to finally unlock the frame rate in-game. New settings have been added to the in-game options for 90 FPS, 120 FPS, 144 FPS, and unlimited frame rates. As well as this, new graphical presets can now be selected before launching the game. Take a look at the three new options below:

Low

  • Antialiasing Quality: None
  • Post-Processing Quality: None
  • Shadow Quality: None
  • Screen Percentage: 65%
  • Display Mode: Windowed
  • Resolution: 1280*720

Medium

  • Antialiasing Quality: 3
  • Post-Processing Quality: 2
  • Shadow Quality: 2
  • Screen Percentage: 83%
  • Display Mode: Full-Screen
  • Resolution: 1920*1080

High

  • Antialiasing Quality: 6
  • Post-Processing Quality: 3
  • Shadow Quality: 3
  • Screen Percentage: 100%
  • Display Mode: Full-Screen
  • Resolution: 1920*1080

In addition to the above, the update also contains a couple of fixes and changes for both the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game, including a fix for a bug that caused the game to crash when being too far away from the horse, and removing people’s names from the list of prohibted words when choosing the main character’s name.
