Dragon Quest

The next entry in the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, will be available in North America and Europe in 2018, Square Enix has announced.

Series creator Yuji Horii revealed in a video update that the game is currently being localized in five languages, including English.

“There’s quite a lot of text, so it’s an exorbitant amount of work,” he said. “But we’re doing our best and working hard to get this game to all of you as soon as possible, so I sincerely hope you look forward to the game.”

Platforms for the western release were not confirmed, but the game is out now for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS in Japan, with a Nintendo Switch version to follow at a later date.
