Dragon’s Crown Cross-Play Support Now Available for PlayStation 3 and Vita

Dragon’s Crown now supports cross-play between its PS3 and Vita versions courtesy of a new patch that’s now live, publisher Atlus announced.

Developed by Vanillaware, the studio behind Muramasa and Odin Sphere, Dragon’s Crown launched on both PS3 and Vita earlier this year in North America, on August 6. In response to fan demand, Atlus decided to incorporate cross-play support for Sony’s handheld and home console. That announcement came exactly one week ago, when Atlus promised to deliver the now-live patch “very, very soon.”

Dragon’s Crown is a highly stylized 2D side-scrolling action-RPG/brawler that features artwork by designer George Kamitani. In his review, Andrew called Dragon’s Crown “a love letter” to its genre, declaring it “as close to a trip to the old-school arcades of the late ’80s as you’re going to get on home consoles.”
