Dragon’s Dogma Title Update Corrupting Save Files, Capcom Reports

Posted on April 30, 2013 AT 02:57pm

The most recent title update for Capcom’s open-world action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma is causing save data corruption, reports community liaison Greg Moore.

Posting on the Capcom-Unity blog, Moore issued a public service announcement urging players to copy their existing save data—be it for Dragon’s Dogma or the recently released expansion, Dark Arisen—to an eternal storage device (thumb drive, etc.) or throwing it up on the cloud.

“If you experience repeated issues with your save data becoming corrupt, please try playing the game offline while we investigate the issue,” wrote Moore. “We’re exploring the issue currently and hope to have a solution as quickly as possible. Many apologies for the inconvenience.”

Dragon’s Dogma launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 May 22, 2012. Dark Arisen dropped last week, on April 23. Why don’t you play it safe, stay away from Dragon’s Dogma, and instead read Eric L. Patterson’s review of Dark Arisen while you wait?
