DuckTales Remastered Xbox 360, Wii U, PS3 Retail Release Coming November 12

Posted on September 18, 2013 AT 11:11am

Publisher Capcom and developer WayForward Technology’s DuckTales Remastered, the digitally released HD update of the 1989 NES platformer, is getting a proper retail release, Capcom announced today.

The disc-based release of DuckTales Remastered will go down November 12 in North America, with versions for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. All three will be priced at $19.99. The digital versions of DuckTales Remastered—currently available through Steam, PSN, Xbox Live Arcade, and the Wii U eShop—are priced at $14.99.

The HD remake boasts the full voice cast from the classic Disney cartoon from which it is based, along with 2.5D reimaginings of all the original levels, plus new areas, new boss patterns, and new/more fleshed out story beats.

DuckTales Remastered originally debuted on the eShop, PSN, and Steam a little over a month ago, on August 13. The Xbox Live Arcade version dropped last week, on September 11. EGM’s senior editor Marc Camron reviewed the XBLA version, describing Remastered as “a bit short,” but holding up where it matters most, “with tight controls, fun levels, and a story like a vintage comic book.”
