According to OXM’s October edition, Gearbox is working on a new Duke Nukem game in an attempt to reboot the Duke series. As most of us know, Gearbox bought the rights to Duke Nukem from 3D Realms when they took over work on Duke Nukem Forever.

Development for “Duke Begins” is said to start as soon as Aliens: Colonial Marines is complete. The details of this rumored game are scarce at best, however, that hasn’t stopped gamers from predicting that “Duke Begins” will be a back story of sorts, possibly explaining how and why Duke got into the alien ass kicking business.

Looks like we are going to have to wait for an official statement from Gearbox themselves before we will know if there is any truth to this one.
