Two versions of Dynasty Warriors 8: Extreme Legends are coming to the PlayStation family March 25, publisher Tecmo Koei announced today.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Extreme Legends is a standalone expansion to Dynasty Warriors 8 that adds new costumes for Zhao Yun, Wang Yuanji, and Xu Shu. Xtreme Legends also adds a second EX attack to every character, an updated bodyguard system that allows up to three bodyguards, the ability to manually activate Storm Rush attacks, a level cap increase from 99 to 150, new modes, and “hypothetical scenarios that alter the plotlines of various episodes through the ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms story,’ and, finally, an “Ultimate” difficulty setting.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Extreme Legends Complete Edition, meanwhile, is coming to PS4 and Vita. The Complete Edition includes the original Dynasty Warriors 8, plus the Xtreme Legends content and additions. In addition, PS3 Dynasty Warriors 8 save data is transferrable to both PS4 and Vita versions of Complete Edition.

Those of you keen on Hyrule Warriors may want to investigate Dynasty Warriors 8, since its the DW gameplay format that’s being given a Zelda makeover for Nintendo’s unexpected spinoff.
