E3 2011 – Halo 4 Has Been In Development For Multiple Years

Halo 4 was rumoured to be revealed at this years E3 however it still left some people in shock after it was officially revealed right at the end of Microsoft’s press conference.

It would appear that Microsoft has been keeping Halo 4 up it’s sleeve for a good few years, in an interview with Don Mattrick, GameTrailers asked just how long Halo 4 had been kept a secret?

Well its been in development for multiple years, so I guess that counts as a secret

This means that it was in development while Bungie were still working on Halo: Reach, so at least we know that this wont be a rushed project.
