E3 2011 – First Battlefield 3 Gameplay Footage

Well the EA press conference has just finished and we were treated to some new Battlefield 3 footage.

DICE demonstrated a live demo from a section of the campaign which sees you commanding a tank as you work your way across the desert to an outpost. A tank battle ensues as you begin to take down the opposition, then after switching to thermal imaging more tanks can be seen on the ridge.

The Frostbite 2 engine is really showing its worth during the campaign with explosions going off everywhere, bits of tanks and buildings flying all over the place, this is easily the best looking Battlefield to date.
