The first ever gameplay footage from the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot was shown at the Microsoft press conference by Crystal Dynamics.

The demo shows a part of the game where Lara has been captured in some sort of cave and must try to make her escape, the demo starts in gory fashion as Lara frees herself from her binds only to fall on a spike which goes through her.

After pulling this out she makes her way through the cave falling and slipping as she goes, we are then introduced to a puzzle and Lara’s new “survival instincts” which allow her to see objects that are useful to her, by using this we see that there is a toxic barrel that can be used in order to open the path, check out the video below to see just how this puzzle was solved.
