E3 2012: Criterion Reveals Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Posted on June 4, 2012 AT 02:12pm
Late last week, EA confirmed that Criterion was working on a new title in the Need for Speed franchise. Now, Criterion has taken to the stage at the publisher’s E3 press conference to show off Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
Most Wanted is a reimagining of the classic cops-and-robbers racer with all the polish of DICE’s Frostbite 2 Engine. Most importantly, the game will feature a sprawling open-world allowing you to roam freely as you work your way up to the top of the most wanted list.
As expected, Most Wanted will take advantage of EA’s Autolog service, which is getting some hefty upgrades this time around. Now, not only will you be able to compete with your friends thanks to single-player leaderboards and online multiplayer, you’ll also be able to test your skills and get personalized recommendations on how to improve.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be available on October 30 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and PlayStation Vita.
