It’s that time of year again: The countdown to the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the biggest and most important yearly event for the world of videogames. For anybody who loves gaming, E3 is far any away the best time of the year. Previous revealed games get shown off, never-before-announced games suddenly make their appearance, and you even never know when a brand new gaming console or handheld might stop by to say hello!
For E3 2012, we—your humble EGM and EGMNOW staff members—are going to be going all out. We’re going to the show, and we’re going to be doing our best to bring you all of the excitement, the energy, the news, and the unknown that the show has to offer.
This weekend, we’re kicking off our pre-E3 content. Today, the EGM staff gives you their top five most anticipated games of the show. Then tomorrow, you can join some of the EGM staff here on EGMNOW for a pre-show liveblogging event, as we chat with you all about what we’re hoping to see and what surprises we expect might be revealed. We hope you’ll come by and take part the conversation—stop by tomorrow at 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern to join in the fun.
Of course, that’s just the beginning. Starting Monday, our coverage of E3 2012 will kick into high gear, as we liveblog the big press conferences from Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, EA, and Ubisoft. Here’s the schedule for our coverage of the conferences:
Monday, June 4th
- Microsoft – 9:30am Pacific
- EA – 1:00pm Pacific
- Ubisoft – 3:00pm Pacific
- Sony – 6:00pm Pacific
Tuesday, June 5th
- Nintendo – 9:00am Pacific
After that, E3 2012 officially kicks off–and EGMNOW will bring you constant updates directly from the show floor. Not only will we cover the news and game announcements that’ll be hitting from E3, but we’ll also have hands-on coverage of the biggest games of the show, developer interviews, editor options, EGM All Access video content, and even a daily show wrap-up podcast.
EGM and EGMNOW will be bringing you coverage from E3 2012 that you won’t be able to get anywhere else—all presented in that style like only EGM can do. We’re one of the longest-running, most trusted names in this business, and it’ll be our pleasure to show you why during this crazy and chaotic week of E3 2012.
