Following an impressive live action trailer, Halo 4 was introduced to the E3 crowd by Microsoft showing off several minutes of new gameplay.
New non-Covenant enemies were shown in the footage, along with constant mid-battle advice heard from Cortana in the new heads-up display on Master Chief’s visor. Some enemies shown in the footage included “Defense AI” enemies in a jungle environment, along with Grunt lookalikes and a larger Spartan-like enemy that appeared to disintegrate upon death.
Master Chief’s visor was also shown to switch modes to pinpoint enemies, suggesting a variety of different viewing modes based on gameplay. EGM’s on-site staff noted that it was very reminiscent of Metroid Prime, which certainly isn’t a bad thing.
