E3 2012: Resident Evil 6 DLC Hits Xbox 360 First, New Gameplay Shown
Posted on June 4, 2012 AT 10:56am
It looks like Resident Evil 6 is going to completely decimate what’s left of Raccoon City.
In gameplay footage shown at Microsoft’s E3 2012 press conference, the only thing more dangerous than the hordes of zombies were vehicle-induced fireballs, as Leon Kennedy actively searched for survivors while fighting off infected enemies with the help of well-timed shotgun blasts. To boot, the gore was ramped up noticeably, as heads “splortched” like watermelons tossed at walls.
Amid the chaos, the scene was peppered with mass “Michael Bay-scale” explosions. Jets, harriers, and tankers leveled much of the area shown, something that should actively change your objectives mid-gameplay.
Closing out the demo, Xbox 360 owners were confirmed to have first access to Resident Evil 6‘s DLC, as a limited-time exclusive. Don’t forget, Resident Evil 6 hits both PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles and PC on October 6th.
