THQ has reportedly closed down their San Diego studio the day before E3 opens its doors at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

According to Eurogamer, THQ is shutting down the division that was partly built from from a buyout of Midway Games. THQ San Diego was directly responsible for creating WWE All-Stars and taking part in the UFC series of games. With EA buying away the license for the UFC Undisputed series, that leaves the company with one less “big name” franchise.
