At last year’s E3, Ubisoft announced plans to develop a Wii U exclusive title called Killer Freaks from Outer Space. Today, at the publisher’s press conference, the title was shown publicly for the first time, and it’s undergone a near complete makeover.

Now called ZombiU, the game is a gritty, hyperviolent zombie shooter set in the UK. Gameplay details are scarce, as the trailer was more focused on showing as many slow-motion blood spurts as possible, but it’s certainly intriguing to hear that the Wii U is getting at least one mature-focused exclusive title.

We’ll have further details about ZombiU later in the week, so be sure to stop by and check them out in all their bloody glory.
