Xenoblade Chronicles

A new trailer for Xeno-creator Tetsuya Takahashi’s upcoming tentatively titled WIi U follow up to Xenoblade Chronicles, X, was shown during the E3 2013 Nintendo Direct.

As described by Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata, the team at Monolith Soft wanted to create a large-scale open world for X—one that players could explore seamlessly. In order to accomplish this, the team tapped into the experienced gained from developing Xenoblade Chronicles.

The new trailer shows off the mech suits—a common feature in Takahashi’s Xeno-games. Some of these mech suits will be able to transform into land-based vehicles, while others will give players the power of flight.

X launches on Wii U sometime 2014.
