Dragon Age 2 is a game that hit to very mixed opinions among fans. Now, EA has admitted that those fans were divided over the changes made between the first game and its sequel.
Speaking to Eurogamer, EA Games Label boss Frank Gibeau said that EA understood that some fans weren’t happy with the direction that Dragon Age 2 took, and that everybody at EA were disappointed over that fact. He also said that EA and BioWare were very proud of the game, and the fact that it brought a lot of new fans to the franchise.
However, other fans obviously had a different reaction to the title.
“But to be honest, we lost some fans as well,” Gibeau told Eurogamer. “They were not pleased with some of the innovations and things we’d done. We understand that and we’re listening.”
In terms of listening to fan reaction, Gibeau stated that, “As we think about where we take the franchise next, we’re going to take that into consideration and really engage them.”
