EA has confirmed that Welsh winger Gareth Bale will still be the cover star for FIFA 14 in the U.K. despite recently securing a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Bale completed his £85 million move to Madrid yesterday, prompting questions regarding the stars’ inclusion on the U.K. box art. An EA spokesperson has since confirmed that Bale will remain on the cover.

“Gareth Bale remains the FIFA 14 U.K. cover star alongside Lionel Messi,” the spokesperson told Eurogamer. “In light of his recent transfer we are working closely with his management and we will have an update soon.”

EA Sports also released a new teaser clip for FIFA 14 showing Bale lining up alongside his new Real Madrid team mates.
