Next week, Electronic Arts will host a one-day conference focusing on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues in the videogame industry.
The invite-only event, titled “Full Spectrum,” will be held on March 7 in New York, and will explore such topics as “authentic” LGBT characters, LGBT-friendly work environments, and the origins of homophobia in videogames.
Members of the Human Rights Campaign, the Ford Foundation, and professionals from the videogame industry will be in attendance. Baltimore Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo will also make an appearance, hosting a talk about “inclusive culture” in the work environment and the legalization of same-sex marriage.
