EA has been fairly vague regarding SimCity’s release date, however the publisher has now offered a launch window for the title.

The game has been confirmed for release during the fourth quarter of the 2013 fiscal year, which puts it anytime between January and March 2013. Previously EA would only offer the year 2013, so this certainly narrows things down.

Thanks to the new GlassBox Engine, SimCity will be one of the most realistic simulations available. Everything is played out in real-time under the surface of the game, so decisions will be crucial. It’s been a long wait since SimCity 4, however it appears as if the wait will be worth it.
