Battlefield 4‘s launch this fall will be accompanied by some paper-based paraphernalia, EA announced—chief among them a novel and art book.
The novel, titled Battlefield 4: Countdown to War, was written by Peter Grimsdale, who co-wrote Battlefield 3: The Russian. The novel serves as a prequel to the events that take place in Battlefield 4, focusing on a CIA agent named Kovic operating in Shanghai.
The art book, aptly named The Art of Battlefield 4, is being published by Titan Books. EA describes The Art of Battlefield 4 as a “high-end art book.”
Additional Battlefield 4 paraphernalia includes gaming peripherals and accessories (mice, keyboards, headsets, messenger bags, and iPhone cases) from Razer, PDP performance Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers, and Jinx clothing apparel for the Battlefield fan who likes to literally wear his or her enthusiasm on their sleeve.
Battlefield 4 launches on PC, Xbox 360, and PC October 29, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions to follow.
