The Electronic Arts press conference this afternoon showcased Battlefield 4’s Commander Mode and 64-person multiplayer during a live demonstration.

Commander Mode allows for interplay between the console and PC versions of Battlefield 4 and mobile devices, demonstrated live on stage by general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson. EA also revealed that the next-gen Battlefield supports up to 64 players in the online competitive multiplayer, much like the PC version of Battlefield 4 does now.

Battlefield 4 launches on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 October 29 in North America, November 1 in Europe. The Xbox One and PS4 versions are also expected to launch this fall.
