EA Sports UFC content update now live, adds new fighters and gameplay tweaks

Posted on July 23, 2014 AT 11:03am

EA Sports UFC’s first free content update is now live on PS4 and Xbox One, adding three new fighters and several gameplay changes.

Said trio of new contenders includes welterweight contender Tyron Woodley, bandomweight contender Takeya Mizugaki, and bantomweight champion T.J. Dillashaw, all of whom can be seen in the above video.

Gameplay updates include the option to manually make fighters touch gloves, extra strikes during a knockout to “finish the fight,” sprawls for defending fighters in a power takedown, clinches to break from the cage, the removal of power takedowns and sweeps from fighters who wouldn’t normally boast these abilities, sweep defense for Full Guard position, and a modification to the Stamina bar so that it no longer regenerates if a user holds block.

EA Sports UFC launches on PS4 and Xbox One last month, on June 17.
