EA has announced that it will stop selling the EA Sports Season Ticket from March 2015, and will also be reducing the price.

People with an active ticket will be able to continue accessing is perks until March 2016, and the price has also been reduced from $24.99 to $19.99. For those that are unaware, the Season Ticket offers early access to several EA Sports titles, such as FIFA, Madden, and NHL, as well as bonus Ultimate Team Packs, and 20 percent off DLC.

“We’re constantly looking at the benefits we provide to our players and ensuring that they are valuable and beneficial to as many players as possible,” said EA. “As more and more of our fans move to the new generation of consoles, we felt the time was right to start the process of concluding Season Ticket for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The Season Ticket benefits are still available for FIFA 15, NHL 15 and Madden NFL 15, at a new lower price of $19.99.”

EA recently launched EA Access on Xbox One that offers a similar service to the Season Ticket, but covers a more wide range of titles. An EA Access subscription also offers 10 percent off DLC and the ability to access select titles up to five days before launch.
