GameStop, Virgin Launch $1 Million Madden, FIFA, NHL Tournament For PS3

Another Virgin Gaming event is in the works for EA Sports’ latest releases, but Xbox 360 players need not apply to win cash prizes. Teaming up with GameStop, the three companies are hosting a $1 million tournament.
According to the press release, Madden NFL 13, NHL 13, and FIFA 13 are all going to be part of the 2013 EA Sports Challenge Series, which will start online and end with the finals in Las Vegas.
If you register, you’ll be tasked with winning four games in the first rung of competition, which then sends you into the bracketed semi-finals rankings to play against the top players in the tournament, where those winners go to the finals.
Unfortunately for Xbox Live users, you have to have a PS3 to register and play, but you’ll at least get a chance to get one of the 640 seats open for the finals in Las Vegas. Even if you lose early, you’ll at least net 500 dollars.
