It turns out that players who redeem their Destiny beta key will receive three download codes when the beta goes live.

Destiny codes are currently only available by pre-ordering the game or by winning one in a competition. Once you have a key you can head over to Bungie.net and redeem it for a beta code on the platform of your choice. However, a message on the platform choice page reveals that all players will get three keys, instead of just one, so they can invite their friends.

The message reads: “Platform selection for the Beta is now available! Each code will grant you 3 download keys, enough to field a full Fireteam on the console of your choosing!”

It’s worth noting that if you are after European codes for PlayStation 4 then you will unable to select it as an option until closer to July 17, according to Bungie.

The Destiny beta will begin July 17 on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and on July 23 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The full game will be available from September 9 on all four platforms.
