EA and DICE have announced the “Road to Battlefield V” that will involve expansion giveaways, weekly rewards in Battlefield 1, and the chance to earn cosmetic items in Battlefield V.

To start with, in the lead up to Battlefield V‘s release, every Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1 expansion will be given away for free. Later this month, Battlefield 1′s Apocalypse DLC will be free to download and keep. DICE added that it may offer a second chance at these free DLCs for players who missed the previous giveaways.

As well as DLC giveaways, new weekly challenges will start appearing in Battlefield 1, offering players various in-game rewards, such as weapon and equipment skins, Dog Tags, and Squad XP Boosts. Some of these weekly rewards will include exclusive vanity items for Battlefield V that will be available to use when the game launches.

“In Battlefield V, you’ll be able to customize your Company of soldiers with Special Soldier Sets containing weapon skins, camo patterns, head gear, and face paint for the British Special Air Service and German Airborne troops,” DICE explains. “Six of these are available when you pre-order the Battlefield V Deluxe Editionbut the only way to earn an additional 2 soldier sets is via the Road to Battlefield V.”

Finally, each Tuesday the developer will be rotating in a new tailor-made map playlist that is “designed to provide a tour through the variety of Battlefield 1 maps and modes.”

Battlefield V launches October 19th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with Digital Deluxe owners gaining access on October 16th.
