THE BUZZ: EA has announced that its Digital Distribution service Origin has now expanded to offer a number of top games from publishers THQ, Warner Bros and Capcom.
Starting in November, Origin will feature top games such as Batman: Arkham City and Saints Row: The Third ready for purchase and download. ”Since launch, we’ve had overwhelming support from both publishers and developers across the gaming industry, recognizing Origin as an opportunity to deliver more of their great content straight to consumers across the globe,” said David DeMartini, Senior Vice President of EA Origin. ”We’re excited to welcome Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, THQ and Capcom as the first publishers to offer their games via Origin.”
EGM’s TAKE: Finally EA has struck a deal to move more publishers onto its service. This should certainly help them build a reputation, and the additional competition for Steve should result in better services all around.
