EA’s Origin Game Time returns with 168 hours of free access to Battlefield 4

Posted on August 7, 2014 AT 11:55am

Electronic Arts is offering PC players 168 hours of free access to Battlefield 4 as part of their Origin Game Time program, the publisher announced today.

Starting today, players have until August 14 at 10:00 a.m. PT to log on to Origin Game Time and add Battlefield 4. Once downloaded, players have no time limitations to their 168 hours of free access. Said access includes the single-player campaign (which’ll only take six or eight of those) as well as the multiplayer. Progress and Origin Achievements will be saved so that on the other side of those 168 hours, should players choose to purchase Battlefield 4 for themselves, they can continue where they left off.

The last title featured in Origin Game Time, a program that launched for EA’s proprietary digital distribution service in June, was Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall. Suffice to say, if you’re a PC gamer interested in Battlefield but, due to its spectacularly rocky launch, withheld from handing over your hard-earned cash, here’s your chance to see if EA’s ironed out all the wrinkles. Or, really, it’s EA’s opportunity to put their money where their mouth is, I suppose.
