UFC’s most iconic announcer, Bruce Buffer, took to the stage during EA’s press conference to help introduce EA’s latest offering in the UFC franchise. Dana White, president of the UFC franchise, was also on hand to spout a few choice words about the sport and how popular it has become over the past decade. Apparently UFC is the fastest growing sport on the planet. Believe it.

Now that EA has acquired the rights from THQ, what exactly is new? Well for starters there’s a whole new system called ‘MMAi.’ This feature lets you organically alter the fight, so as to keep your opponent guessing. Also new is a term EA has dubbed as ‘Full Body Deformation,’ a feature that promises to bring the pain closer than ever. I’m guessing that’s fancy talk for ‘cuts’ and ‘bruises.’

UFC will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in spring of 2014.
