Email Invites Going Out For Mysterious “PSN Beta”

THE BUZZ: Sony has begun sending out email links for signing up to PSN Beta—a new service which has yet to be officially unveiled.
EGM’s TAKE: Earlier today on Twitter, a question went out to the official PlayStation Europe Twitter account about a mysterious email concerning “PSN Beta,” which asked the PSN user to log into a website using their PSN idea.
PlayStation Europe confirmed that the email was legit, and said, “hope it’s for something good!”
While full details of what all of this is are still to come out, we can say for now that it seems to be some sort of new PSN-centric community website—and not, as some may first guess, a new version of PSN for use via the PS3 or Vita. Japanese PSN members recently got an updated, feature-rich community site, so this may be something similar to that for English speakers.
Have you received an email invite for PSN Beta? If so, let us know!
