THE BUZZ: Epic revealed its latest IP Fortnite on tonight’s Spike TV Video Game Awards. The game fashioned a whimsical art style and Epic’s trademark humor, and while the trailer didn’t show much in the way of in game footage, we can assume the game will have players knocking down structures and building forts to fend off whatever bumps in the night.

EGM’s TAKE: With very little knowledge of how the trailer relates to the actual game, we can only describe what we think we saw as a mashup of a classic tower defense game and minecraft. That in itself is an exciting prospect. Add to that, Epic’s style of humor and personality, and it’s not a stretch to believe it may have another hit on its hands.
