Epic Games director of worldwide Marketing Kendall Boyd has left the House of Marcus to join Microsoft, GamesIndustry.biz reports.

Boyd’s ail now be backing the media machine responsible for hurling the Halo name in your face; his new position at Microsoft is director of Halo global marketing.

After leaving Electronic Arts—serving as senior product marketing manager on NCAA Football and their Arena Football franchises—Boyd joined Epic in August 2010, where he led the marketing charge on Infinity Blade and Gears of War.

Boyd is the latest of many movers and shakers departing Epic, including producer Rod Fergusson, Cliff Bleszinksi in October 2012, and Mike Capps, who retired in December.
