Eve Online and Dust 514 Servers Taken Offline Following DDoS Attack

CCP has been forced to take its Tranquility server cluster, which hosts Eve Online, Dust 514, and some web services, offline following a ”significant and sustained distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack.”

The developer initially re-opened the servers following the attack, but decided to take them back down in order to investigate the issue and perform ”an exhaustive scan of our entire infrastructure.” A few hours ago the developer posted an update on Facebook:

“Our engineers are close to resolving the issues on Tranquility. We aim to have our servers live as soon as we possibly can. Thank you for your continued patience.”

For the latest information on the outage you can follow CCP’s Twitter feed and Facebook page.
