Sony Online Entertainment has added something called Krono Tokens to Everquest II‘s in-game store, but what do they do?
Well these tokens grant subscription time to a player’s account for slightly more than a month’s normal subscription. So why would you buy them you are probably asking? Well it’s simple, these tokens can be sold on the game’s auction house and traded for in-game currency. Meaning that cash-strapped players can purchase game time using in-game currency and wealthy players can buy tokens and make a ton of in-game currency.
Not a bad deal right? SOE also added that if the system works well in Everquest II then it will consider implementing it across all of its games.
