2K Games has unveiled Road to Glory, a new online mode for WWE 2K18 that will let players battle other created superstars.

“Road to Glory is a completely new online experience where MyPLAYERS from all over the world battle against each other,” the publisher explains. “Players can compete daily in a variety of match types to gain stars, boosts, Superstar parts and VC. In addition, by increasing their levels, they can further customize their MyPLAYERs to gain the advantage over others. Overall, players are encouraged to see if they have what it takes to secure entry into pay-per-view events and defeat their favorite WWE Superstars to earn special rewards.”

Inside Road to Glory, players can fight other MyPLAYER characters or take part in a daily match event that cycles every 24 hours and features a different match type and arena.

Before heading into a match, players can equip up to five active Boosts that have a wide range of enhancements for their character, including increasing specific stats in areas like striking, speed, grappling, and additional XP at the end of a match.

After each match, players will earn XP that will go towards increasing their rank. Their are six total ranks that contain 50 levels each, ranging from Prospect to Hall of Famer. Each level gained within a rank unlocks new loot cases, attribute points, and additional boost slots.

Finally, players will be able to take part in pay-per-view events in Road to Glory that parallel the real WWE Pay-Per-View schedule. Players must earn the required amount of stars to qualify for a pay-per-view event, or they can purchase entry for a small fee. After qualifying for the event, players must complete various challenges to make it to the main event. In the main event, players will face off against an actual WWE Supertsar, with a unique Superstar Part that is themed to the PPV Event available for winning.

WWE 2K18 launches October 17th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch release to follow later this year.
